Puppy and Retired dogs

Below you find our puppies, which are too young to start their working career and our retired dogs. Even if our retired dogs are still happy to do some shorter tours, they are enjoying more breaks and days off during the season. The young dogs will get into training at the end of he season and be on the job next winter.

Our Puppies

Nacho

Puppy

Born: June 2020
Male
He first watches everything from a distance, but is very cuddly when he gets to know you. Since his only sibbling has found a new home as a pet dog, he is the only puppy on the yard. He is a quick learner and easy to teach, as he would do anything for food.

Retired Dogs

Eric

Retired Dog

Born: 2008
Male
One of the biggest teddybears in the yard and the favourite guy of young girls Mimi and Mila. One of the biggest excapers from his kennel and still now, he likes to test and fool all new people on the yard. He can be very annoying, but still you have to like him.

Jamey

Retired Dog

Born: 2008
Male
Since he is a quite timid dog, he goes rather unnoticed. In his prime time he has been an incredibly good runner, never getting tired, no matter how long the distance. Jamey and his sibblings have probably been the most noisy family we have had on the yard.

Janka

Retired Dog

Born: 2008
Female
Sister to Jamey, Jonny, Jätte and Jenny and mother of Emil. She is still one of the most noisy dogs on the yard and barely bareable during coffe- or lunchbreaks. She is very attached to her sister Jätte, but otherwise normaly stays more to herself and is not interacting much with other dogs during freerun time.

Jätte

Retired Dog

Born: 2008
Female
She might be one of the smallest dogs in the yard, but Jätte used to be one of best leaders. She is now slowly going into retirement by still running the shorter tours and, considering her age, still in very good shape. As all sibblings, she´s noisy in the team, but a rather quiet dog in the free run.

Jenny

Retired Dog

Born: 2008
Female
As her sister Jätte she is also still in very good shape, considering her age. She is still full on this autumn training, but time will show how she will perform this winter. Jenny is a very sweet and submissive little female, who is never looking for trouble with other dogs.

Jonny

Mathieu's Lead dog / Retired Dog

Born: 2008
Male
Jonny also belongs to the "noisy litter". He has been and still is a very reliable leaddog, especially for new guides. He has never been trying to fool anybody, just alsways doing his job. Like his brother Jamey he has been an incredible good runner, no matter what distance, but this autumn training you could start to see his age.

Lea

Retired Dog

Born: 2008
Female
Lea is a small, cute and hard working female. She goes rather unnoticed, as she has always just been doing her job, never causing any problems. During freerun time she is mainly busy all by herself, not interacting very much with other dogs. She though likes to escape! The autumn training is going god for her so far, so she wil probably still do some jobs this winter.

Minna

Retired Dog

Born: 2008
Female
Minna has been Jan´s main leader all her working life. She is a truly retired dog by now and will not do any tours thi winter. She has probaly been one of the most difficult dogs we ever had, very stubborn and fond of her own ideas. But once you got her to work together with you, she has been a superb, "hard-headed" leader.

Refat

Retired Dog

Born: 2006
Male
The oldest dog we have in the yard and truly retired. He transformed from a restless hardworking sleddog to a calm and cuddly petdog, the day he moved into our coffee room. He is now only wondering around on the yard and joining the guides for their lunch and coffee breaks.

Ronja

Retired Dog

Born: 2007
Female
A charming and good natured female, always avoiding conflicts with dogs and people. She has always been running in lead together with Minna, but with less stubborn behavoiur. She is the mother of Carlos, Camo, Cella, Clara and Cisko, a whole litter with leaders. We didn´t expect her to run this autumn, but so far she is till happy to join the training.

Zora

Retired Dog

Born: 2007

As her sister Ronja, she has also been a very reliable leader and is still running there this autumn, at least on the shorter runs. She is a sweet, godnatured dog, who loves children and puppies. A great foster mom for all puppies that needed one and the mother of Dobro and Debbi.
