While our off season activities consist of repairing equipment, renovations or maintenance at the guesthouse and wilderness cabin, making new programmes for the coming winter season and of course taking care of the dogs, starting in April this year we prioritised the creation and implementation of a Sustainable Development Plan in our organisation.
White Trail Adventures’ Sustainable Development Plan includes an Environmental Management System using ISO14001 guidelines.
Our mission always has been to provide unique and interactive nature-based experiences of Europe’s last wilderness for small groups of guests with a commitment to best practices for reducing our environmental impact and increasing the welfare of our husky dogs.
To be able to translate WTA’s mission and vision into a Sustainable Development Plan and to proceed to its implementation at the level of our organisation we are working with a sustainable expert and a consultant and at this stage from WTA’s team are involved Daniela, Linda, and Mallaury.
A very interesting development that allows us to better understand our organisation, the area we are activating in, the impacts of our activities and how to mitigate them.
A more ample blog about how WTA plans to achieve sustainability will follow in the next weeks.
